タイトル;Draining effect on maturation of the transplanted embryonic kidney.

要旨;
We established to generate nephron progenitor from iPSC (induced pluripotent stem cell). When we transplanted the nephron progenitor to immunodeficient mice, the iPSC derived kidney tissues were vascularized, however, they were still immature. (S. Sharmin, A. Taguchi et al.)
There have been several reports that attempt to generate mature kidney by transplanting embryonic kidney. However, because of the obstruction of urinary tract, transplanted kidney forms hydro nephrosis and finally collapse.
We performed simple urine drainage method ( open drainage ). This method reduced the hydro nephrosis and expanded the size of the transplanted kidney. This method also helped the maturation of glomerulus and proximal to distal tubule equivalent to perinatal stage.
But even using this method, the transplanted kidney re-obstruct in a few days. Urine flow need to be maintained to further maturate the transplanted kidney.
