タイトル;Analysis of the Exchangeable Gene Trap Mouse Lines Trapped Unknown genes.

Abstract;
The gene trap method is a powerful approach for characterizing and mutating genes. Using exchangeable gene trap method,we established 1067 ES clones and generated 427 mouse lines.(Date of August 27,2012).The date of these clones is available at the database for the Exchangeable Gene Trap Clones (EGTC) website(http://egtc/jp/).
In order to obtain biological information, we performed the promoter expression analysis in adult mouse. X-gal staining was performed for detecting β-galactosidase reporter expression in a wide variety of adult tissues of each trap line.
On of the advantages of the gene trap method is that we can analyze not only the annotated gene, but also the unknown gene.
Therefore, we focused on analysis of the EGTC mouse lines trapped unknown genes.
In this presentation, we will report the progress of the EGTC and the promoter expression analysis for 21 mouse lines trapped unknown genes.
